The 2013 Hungarian On-road National Championship Series was travelled to Oroshaza last weekend. After a rainy sunrise, the track has very low grip at the beginning of the qualification rounds. During the morning the lap times became faster and faster, and finally Laszlo Kiss-Orban (Team XRAY Hungary) has collected the pole position in the 1/10 200mm (EFRA) class with his XRAY NT1 2013 car and REDS M3 WC engine.

Laszlo said: ‶The start of the 30 minutes final was clean, and I was able to run the first few laps in the front of the field, but after this, I had to keep in mind my tires, as the track has a lot of high speed left handed curves. So I drove my car a little bit slower, and let 2 cars overtaking me.※ This strategy was successful, as after 10 minutes Laszlo was in the front again, and he was able to build more gap continuously during the next 20 minutes. Finally Laszlo has won the race with almost 10 laps in front of the 2nd car, Gergo Lehner, followed by Balazs Bihari in 3rd place.

‶I would like to say Thank You for my team mate in the pit, Janos Lakatos, who has supported me with an excellent pit work this weekend again.※ – said Laszlo finally.

Based on the first 5 rounds of the championship Laszlo and his canary bird colored XRAY NT1 2013 with REDS M3 WC engine leads the series ranking, by 16 points from his team mate Zsolt Bajusz in the 2nd place. We are waiting the last 3 rounds of the series with high hopes…
